The Metalab Workflow

Step 1: Smile Design

The process begins with a 2D smile design that you create, where shape and position are chosen in line with biological possibilities. Involving patients at this stage builds trust and ensures alignment before moving to 3D designs. More About Smile Design HERE

Step 2: Place Your Order

Orders are submitted directly through Smilecloud based on the approved 2D design. Payment is made by card, and a dedicated technician is assigned to your case. You can then communicate details or adjustments directly in the case chat.

• Note: One revision is included (position, angulation, or scaling). Changes to shape libraries require a new order.

Important! Don't place an order unless you have all the required documentation.

In the case chat, make sure you write the treatment plan and any indications you may have.

Step 3: Review & Download

A preview file is uploaded for your review. After approval, the final printable/millable .stl file becomes available for download, ready for production in your office.

• Requirements: Photos, intraoral scan in occlusion, CBCT, smile design selection
• Note: Cannot be transferred to the mouth before reductive procedures.

Crown Lengthening Guide – 99 €/arch

Designed around the functional design to guide precise soft tissue recontouring.

• Purpose: Electrosurgery or open-flap bone recontouring reference
• What you get: Ready-to-print .stl file
• Requirements: Functional design + CBCT
• Note: Cannot be ordered without a prior functional design.

• Purpose: Predictable deprogramming, CR registration, TMD diagnosis

• Note: Milling recommended for rigidity and stability.

Digital Restorations – 35 €/element

Validated functional design carried into final restorations.

• Purpose: Veneers, crowns, implants, bridges, all-on-x provisionals
• What you get: Individual .stl files, ready-to-mill or print
• Requirements: High-quality prep scans + functional design
• Note: All-on-x use is for provisionals only; no frameworks for full-ceramic bridges.
